Equity & Diversity

Wendy believes that a healthy, vibrant community is one where diversity is celebrated, where everyone feels included, and where policies and services are equitable. Making decisions through an equity lens is a high priority for Wendy.

  • In her first term, council adopted Wendy’s resolution on anti-discrimination and response to acts of hate. Work toward developing an Anti-Racism Strategy is underway.
  • This term Council adopted the Engagement Framework, that ensures that equity is integrated in to decision making.
  • Wendy has been a s strong advocate for accessibility concerns. After robust public engagement, council adopted the city’s first comprehensive accessibility plan in May 2026.
