gilakas’la / čɛčɛ haθɛč,  I am grateful and honoured to live work and play in the water, on the land and through the forests that are the unceded territory of the K’ómoks First Nation

Active Transportation & Infrastructure

  • Wendy introduced and supported resolutions for safety on multi-use paths, and 40 km/h neighborhood speed reductions.
  • Wendy advocated for playground upgrades, including updated design standards. These standards incorporate a focus on accessibility and universal design, diverse play experiences, climate adaptation (sun shelters, misting stations, site drainage), and nature/sensory play elements.
  • Wendy pushed for infrastructure repairs and renewal that had languished, such as the East Side Fire Hall, Anderton Road dyke remediation and clean-up of derelict and unsafe buildings, active transportation improvements and build out, and public engagement on the future of the outdoor pool.
